Excellente nouvelle pour les fans des séries d'Aaron Sorkin, qui possède un vrai don d'écriture - et qui a des choses intéressantes à dire pour ne rien gâcher. Il avait déjà écrit Des Hommes d'honneur et Le Président et Miss Wade, tous deux réalisés par Rob Reiner, ce qui est un peu moins enthousiasmant que son travail pour la télévision avouons-le. Le premier de ces projets possède déjà un titre : The Trial of the Chicago Seven, qui tournera autour du procès de manifestants à la Convention démocrate de 1968 à Chicago, au cours de laquelle de violents affrontements manifestants/policiers avaient eu lieu. Et Steven Spielberg himself devrait le réaliser. Mais Sorkin a déjà des films dans les tuyaux, dont Charlie Wilson's War, l'histoire assez particulière d'un membre du Congrès texan qui se faisait appeler Good Time Charlie en raison de son goût pour l'alcool, les femmes, la débauche. Il se fit coincer à Las Vegas avec deux strip-teaseuses cocaïnomanes et sa carrière politique en prit logiquement un coup. A hearing was held Friday morning, April 25, in the chambers of Judge Aurelio Munoz in Los Angeles Superior Court. The way has been opened for discovery and depositions in Paul v Clinton. They can start immediately.
Hillary will not be deposed until after the election. Don't panic, it will be okay. Yes, of course, it was a political consideration. Disney did not release THE PATH TO 911 on DVD to protect Hillary.
Judge Aurelio Munoz, who appears rather friendly with Clinton attorney David Kendall, requested that Kendall say hello to a friend named Bill at Kendall's firm, Connolly and Williams. Munoz went to law school with him. Isn't that nice.
Even though Hillary will be delayed, there will be numerous witnesses who have important things to say. They include defendants former President Bill Clinton and Jim Levin, Chelsea Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore, Gov. Ed Rendell, Gray Davis, Howard Wolfson, Kelly Craighead, Andrew Grossman, Patti Solis Doyle, Larry King, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Diana Ross, John Travolta, Brad Pitt, Stan Lee, Haim Saban, and many others.
Even before her testimony, the voters will learn about her obstruction of justice and the false FEC reporting. Perhaps a sitting federal judge and an assistant US Attorney will be subpoeaned. Are you listening Clinton-appointed Judge A. Howard Matz, you who pulled off the legal equivalent of the 1919 Black Sox in the David Rosen trial?
People who were never called in the Rosen trial or before the FEC will finally be grilled. Hillary turned in a false declaration to the court. It is hoped that testimony from other witnesses is going to show that. We hope that Obama people will start asking questions and making demands of her. Why isn't Hillary coming forward to give testimony voluntarily before the Superdelegates choose? What is Hillary hiding? The primaries end in June. She has plenty of time to come forward and testify. Hillary, how is it that everyone at Stan Lee Media, including Disney execs ready to come aboard, knew about your husband's new employment, but you didn't know? How is that possible? Your daughter knew. You lied in your sworn declaration.
We know how to serve and are making arrangements to serve a subpoena on Gov. Ed Rendell. Perhaps we can get it on film. The Bill and Chelsea depositions should be wonderful media events in New York. And I have hopes of serving a subpoena on Streisand and getting it on film. Hopefully, we can catch her without makeup and looking particularly hideous.
Hillary vowed through her spokesman Howard Wolfson that she would take no money from Peter Paul. Why have you been lying for over seven years, telling the voters that the campaign would take no money from Peter Paul? David Rosen, your testimony in your criminal trial may be shown to be "factually innacurate."
Jim Levin, lapdance provider to the president, your depo should be extremely entertaining, a two bags of popcorn event.
Let the questions begin. Let people start challenging Hillary. I expect the first depositon to be in about 30 days or so. You will hear about how another vendor was stiffed and how the Clinton campaign failed to declare money paid to her.
David Kendall, attorney for the Clintons and the voters are finally going to pay attention that you accepted service for Hillary on July 11, 2001. Included in Peter's lawsuit were receipts, bank statements, and invoices for about $1.6 million. You had that information and Hillary had that information. Treasurer Andrew Grossman had that information, and you allowed your client to have filed on her behalf a third false FEC report, declaring only about $401,000.

But Clinton, vowing no compromise on allowing Florida and Michigan back into the fray despite their violation of the primary calendar in January, is pursuing an 11th hour bid to deprive Obama of the nomination.
The former first lady Wednesday wrote to the nearly 800 superdelegates to try to persuade them she was more likely to beat McCain in November's general election.
"I believe I am best prepared to lead this country as president, and best prepared to put together a broad coalition of voters to break the lock Republicans have had on the electoral map and beat Senator McCain," she wrote.

The exhaustion and exhilaration being experienced by the leading U.S. presidential candidates was on vivid display Monday as Republican and Democrat contenders sprinted through a final day of campaigning ahead of Tuesday's influential New Hampshire primary.
McCain, the 71-year-old former navy pilot, was buoyed by several polls showing him with a lead of up to eight percentage points over former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, a potentially stunning turnaround for a candidate whose campaign seemed moribund last summer.

 Among Democrats, five separate polls released on the final day of campaigning here showed Obama - the winner of last week's Iowa caucuses - with a double-digit lead over Clinton.
But for sheer political drama, nothing eclipsed the moment at a cafe in Portsmouth, N.H., when Clinton became overcome with emotion.
A carefully staged photo opportunity with a group of women voters - where journalists outnumbered participants five to one - took an unexpected turn when a supporter asked about the grueling schedule endured by the White House hopefuls.
The Democratic candidate, who finished an unexpected third last week in Iowa, said "it's not easy, it's not easy." Then her voice began to crack.
"I just don't want to see us fall backward as a nation," said Clinton, fighting back tears. "I mean, this is very personal for me. It's not just political. It's not just public. I see what's happening. We have to reverse it."
It was a rare display for Clinton, 60, who has earned a reputation on the campaign trail for giving the most detailed and dispassionate stump speech of any Democratic candidate.
"Some people think elections are a game (but) ... this is one of the most important elections we'll ever face," she said.
"So as tired as I am and as difficult as it is to keep up what I try to do on the road - like occasionally exercise, trying to eat right. It's tough when the easiest thing is pizza - I just believe so strongly in who we are as a nation. So I'm going to do everything I can to make my case and you know then the voters get to decide."
The episode triggered immediate comparisons to the 1972 Democratic primary here, when Senator Edmund Muskie was photographed with tears on his cheek. Muskie claimed his face was moist from melted snowflakes, but the image helped sink his campaign.
Likewise, Clinton's moment of vulnerability has sparked an intense debate about whether it will hurt her in tonight's voting, or help by humanizing the former first lady.
Clinton and Obama have traded increasingly sharp attacks on the heels of the Iowa voting. When asked about Clinton's emotional remarks later Monday, Obama said he did not know the context.
"This process is a grind, so that's not something I would care to comment on," Obama said.
A University of New Hampshire poll released over the weekend showed Clinton with a favourability rating of just 53 per cent among voters, compared to 77 per cent for Obama.
Polls suggest Clinton's campaign in New Hampshire has been in a tailspin since the Iowa caucuses, and a loss tonight would establish Obama as the clear frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.
Among polls released Monday, a USA Today/Gallup survey showed the biggest gap between Obama and Clinton, with the Illinois senator leading his New York rival 41 per cent to 28.
A UNH poll for CNN showed Obama leading 39 per cent to 29.
"There is a collapse (for Clinton) out of Iowa," said Andy Smith, director of polling for the University of New Hampshire's survey centre. "If she loses here by one per cent, maybe it'll be OK. But it will still be really damaging."
Among Republicans, the atmosphere on McCain's campaign was far more ebullient.
The Arizona senator has the support of 32 per cent of GOP voters compared to 26 per cent for Romney, according to the University of New Hampshire poll.
"Right now, he is seen as the most electable leader," said Smith.
He predicted Obama and McCain would win their parties' nominations if they win New Hampshire.
"Voters outside this state are going to pay attention to winners and losers," Smith said.
"You have to win the early states. You get tremendous momentum out of winning New Hampshire in particular."
Campaigning on the steps of the New Hampshire state capitol in Concord, McCain credited his rebound to consistency.
He was an early supporter of the Bush administration's military surge in Iraq and supported failed immigration reform legislation that infuriated many Republican voters. But McCain says he has been proven right on Iraq and refused to apologize for his more liberal views on illegal immigration. "There will be times when we disagree on a specific issue," McCain told a crowd of about 500 people.
"I understand that. That's the way it should be."
McCain won the New Hampshire Republican primary in 2000 before losing the presidential nomination to George W. Bush. At 71 and mounting his final presidential bid, McCain needs a win in New Hampshire to re-establish himself as a GOP frontrunner.
"He is just a steady ship," said Republican voter Kay Sullivan said at McCain's rally.
"I think at the end of the day, people want somebody they can feel comfortable with," said Larry Finder, a McCain supporter.
"We thought all along he would be the last man standing."

MABELLE Pennsylvania's Six Week Primary Ends TonightHillary: If Iran Attacked Israel With Nukes 'We Would Be Able to Totally Obliterate Them'For the last six weeks Sens. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and Barack Obama, D-Ill., have battled and bickered and both have unleashed a barrage of negativity in television ads that have aired thousands of times in the state.
That barrage of ads will come to an end today as the Democrats of Pennsylvania head to the polls in what could be a make-or-break day for Clinton, or prolong the Democratic primary season into at least another month.
Clinton Ad Features Osama bin LadenIn an ad that began airing in Pennsylvania Monday morning, Clinton implies she is tougher than Obama.
"Who do you think has what it takes?" the narrator asks in an ad depicting historical images of crises that presidents have had to deal with: Osama bin Laden, headlines about the stock market crash of 1929, long gas lines from the 1970s oil-shocks, images of the Cold War, Hurricane Katrina and soldiers. It features the first image of Osama bin Laden to be used in a TV ad this political season.
"It's the toughest job in the world," says the ad's narrator. "You need to be ready for anything — especially now, with two wars, oil prices skyrocketing and an economy in crisis."

The ad quotes President Harry Truman's famous line: "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen," — to cast Obama as complaining about last week's ABC News presidential debate.
Responding to the ad, Obama spokesman Bill Burton accused the New York senator of engaging in scare tactics.
Clinton on an Iran Attack: 'Obliterate Them'Clinton further displayed tough talk in an interview airing on "Good Morning America" Tuesday. ABC News' Chris Cuomo asked Clinton what she would do if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.
"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."

Obama, for his part, has to be worried about obliterating his repeated promise of a "new kind of politics." But he told ABC News' Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America" his attacks are necessary.
"You've always got to measure if somebody throws an elbow at you, and after three or four times of gettin' elbows in the ribs, you know, at what point do you sort of say, 'OK, you know, we, we, we've gotta put a stop to that'?" Obama said.
